Genius Sports Partners with Scientific Games to Offer In-Game Content
27.06.2024
Genius Sports Group has teamed up with Scientific Games to offer in-game content to its worldwide betting clientele.
Under the arrangement, sportsbooks operating on Scientific Games’ OpenSports platform will have access to Genius Sports’ LiveData and LiveTrading services.
Genius Sports and its Betgenius sports betting division provide partners with access to official data for over 170,000 events, including the English Premier League, Serie A, and the Bundesliga.
The agreement does not encompass content from American sports leagues.
Scientific Games’ OpenSports customers include Hard Rock, Wynn Resorts, and Flutter Entertainment.
“The flexibility of the sports schedule is very high, and our technology is unparalleled in terms of integrity, strength, and scalability, matching the level provided by the OpenSports platform,” stated Keith O’Loughlin, Senior Vice President of Sports Betting at Scientific Games.
“With the integration of Genius Sports Group’s LiveData and LiveTrading services into our solution, the technology continues to advance and brings more thrilling experiences to our players.”
Geniuss Chief Revenue Officer, Jack Davidson, stated: “This collaboration will ensure that Scientific Games’ associates have access to all the advantages of the top sports content globally. This encompasses maximizing market availability and enhancing profit margins. It will be provided in a manner that aligns with their unique trading approaches.”
In the tenth month of the year, Genius revealed plans to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. This will be accomplished through a reverse merger arrangement with a special purpose acquisition company known as dMY Technology Group. The publicly traded company is anticipated to have a valuation of $1.5 billion.
In the preceding month, Scientific Games reported that its income for the third quarter of 2020 experienced a reduction of 18.4% in comparison to the equivalent period in the previous year. This expansion in their lottery, digital, and social gaming division, SciPlay, was counterbalanced by a significant decline in their gaming division.
