Bet365 and FanDuel Among Ontario’s Latest License Holders
Hillside, operating under the Bet365 name, has been granted a license in Ontario, as have Flutter Entertainment’s FanDuel and Unibet.
Other recent permit recipients include Annexio Limited (operating as Lotogo), Coolbear, Fitzdares, and NSUS Limited (operating as WSOP).
In recent weeks, LeoVegas, Rush Street Interactive, Rivalry, theScoreBet, and 888 have also been authorized to operate in Ontario.
The permits are issued by iGaming Ontario, which will be in charge of regulation when the province’s market officially opens on April 4.
Each permit is valid from the market opening date until April 3, 2024.
Earlier this week, the AGCO released new guidelines advising operators applying for permits to stop operations before the province’s iGaming market opens next month.
Companies must stop any activity in Canada’s largest province or their registration applications will be denied by the regulator.
