A prominent online sports wagering company, BetMGM, has responded to a proposed national prohibition on sports betting promotions in the United States. The “Betting on Our Future Act,” introduced by Congressman Paul Tonko, seeks to curb what he deems the “rampant spread” of these advertisements across various media, including television and social media platforms.
Tonko contends that this advertising surge is detrimental to Americans and requires regulation. In a gesture of good intentions, BetMGM has unveiled a plan to amplify responsible gaming messaging should the bill become law. They propose integrating responsible gambling messages into all their promotional materials, spanning digital platforms and physical billboards.
BetMGM’s Chief Executive Officer, Adam Greenblatt, underscored their dedication to spearheading responsible gambling initiatives within the industry, characterizing this action as an “unparalleled pledge.”
