Allwyn Appoints New Leadership for UK National Lottery Takeover
13.06.2024
Allwyn has established a fresh executive group in Britain as it readies to assume control of the National Lottery. Andria Vidler, a veteran leader with a background at Tag Worldwide and EMI, will take on the position of Chief Executive Officer starting October 1st. Working alongside her will be Alan Artz as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for managing the financial elements of the changeover.
This shift in leadership is a component of a broader plan to guarantee a seamless transition and set the lottery up for achievements under Allwyn’s guidance. The incoming group possesses a wealth of expertise spanning diverse industries, including leisure, information administration, and safeguarding players. Robert Chvátal, Allwyn’s global CEO, conveyed his trust in the new UK leadership, highlighting their dedication to boosting proceeds for charitable endeavors and improving the lottery participation for players across the country.
Camelots present co-chief executives, Neil Brocklehurst and Clare Swindell, will be leaving their roles following a transitional phase to assist their replacements and the staff. Robert Chvátal, Allwyn’s CEO, conveyed his appreciation for Camelots efforts: “I want to express my thanks to Clare, Neil, and the whole Camelot management group for their outstanding service in backing the National Lottery over numerous years.”
Allwyn will assume control of the UK National Lottery’s operations in February 2024, subsequent to its purchase of the existing operator, Camelot UK Lotteries. The Camelot personnel will be integrating with Allwyn’s UK lottery business.
